Ray thanks for getting us through January, love the chats. Having said that, what are your short and long term projections on Jamie Garcia. I am keeping him in my 12 teams/6 keeper Lg,. and have been getting some serious flack from my know it all league mates. Hit me with the truth Ray!

Jaime Garcia

I like Jaime Garcia a lot. He has two full seasons and a World Series under his belt and he is only 25 years old. His 7 K per nine is nice and four out of his five division rivals were in the Top 10 in strikeouts in the NL. His biggest weakness seems to be his home/road splits – 2.55 Home ERA; 4.66 Road ERA. But the good news is, he finished with an ERA of 3.00 or below at every NL Central stadium besides Miller Park. But, no matter what … don’t start him at Coors Field (29.7 ERA). But, Like Ray said, it be best to see the rest of your team to determine whether he is amongst the 6 best players.

but, can you post the rest of your roster before I opine if you should keep him.
He is young and has put up some solid stats the last few seasons. He strikes out 7 batter per nine and induces over 50% ground balls, so he does have some talent to continue growth.
