Fantasy Hockey 2011: The 2011-2012 Overachieving All-Star Teams
The All-Star Weekend is upon us and we are enjoying the fruits of some innovative things the NHL has changed. I absolutely love the Fantasy Draft portion. Lots of heckling and decision-making from the Captains makes for a very lively event. Not to mention that it's not divided up by Conference like years past but purely on who the Captain thinks would help their team win. In any case, I will present my case for the Fantasy All-Star team but for players who have vastly outperformed their average draft position this season. I will pick six forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders for Team A and Team B.
Check out my selections after the jump and be sure to vote on who do you think will win this weekend...
| Team A | Team B | |
| Forwards | James Neal, Penguins | Marian Hossa, Blackhawks |
| Scott Hartnell, Flyers | Joffrey Lupul, Maple Leafs | |
| Tyler Seguin, Bruins | Phil Kessel, Maple Leafs | |
| Jason Spezza, Ottawa | Patrice Bergeron, Bruins | |
| Kris Versteeg, Panthers | Matt Moulson, Islanders | |
| Jaime Benn, Stars | Jason Pominville, Sabres | |
| Defensemen | Kimmo Timmonen, Flyers | Erik Karlsson, Ottawa |
| Alexander Edler, Canucks | Kevin Bieksa, Canucks | |
| Brian Campbell, Panthers | Dennis Wideman, Capitals | |
| Goaltending | Mike Smith, Coyotes | Brian Elliott, Blues |
| Tuukka Rask, Bruins | Jaroslav Halak, Blues |
Let me know what you think of the team selection in the comments section!

Good catch...
Kinda awkward, too. Fixed now.
