Young SP analysis

What are your thoughts on Henderson Alvarez. The more I have read about him, the more I have realized that you will not be getting a lot of K's but you will get a great WHIP, due to the great control the 21 year old has and his low BB/IP ratio. I also believe that he has the command to be a quality SP for the next few years.

I was offered a trade where I give Casey Kelly for Henderson Alvarez, would you do that deal? Assume Kelly is 3m more than Alvarez in a 200m league. I like Kelly, but I feel that his luster has worn off a bit.

I would definatley take that deal

Hendo Alvarez looked great in his short stint with the Jays last yr. Id take him in a heart beat over Kelly. Kelly’s really fallen off the map after a disasterous last season in AA.
