Opinions on the fantasy ramifications of the Jesus Montero / Michael Pineda trade are all over the place. Below are several well thought out reactions to the trade. As a dynasty owner of both players, I am pleased on both ends of this deal. While Pineda's high fly ball rate will lead to a higher ERA in Yankee stadium, his Wins will also rise.

Jesus Montero is now all but certain to get 600 plate appearances. I am dropping my 30 HR projection to about 26 in Safeco field, but his accounting stats should go up with more playing time. Nobody knows how Montero will be used defensively, but I think he will have a greater chance at catching for Seattle then NYY.
