I had a pullout draftboard from Sporting News Mag I was gonna use but it was from last month and Mike’s Post seemed like a really good updated list to draft from.

8-team league makes sense

From the depth of talent, I was going to assume it was no more than that. If Ingram is still available, yes you should drop Garcon for him. The thing about WR depth is that there are always plenty who become useful during the season and will be available on the wire. Ingram has way higher upside. Plus, Peyton may miss up to 6 weeks, and Kerry Collins, sir, is no Peyton Manning.

vick is not gonna have a season like last year.
i have no idea why people think he is gonna come close to that.
after the giants game last year the league figured out how to stop him.
he is just a big name soon to be a bust.
i would never consider drafting vick unless it were to trade him, and he’d have to be available in say the 3rd round.
and hillis, well he is a throw in name that could garner him a top of the line WR and HB in that trade

I understand that Hillis has competition in the backfield but he still is a good short yardage guy and also a good grinding RB.

As far as Vick goes I understand that he may not hit last years numbers but even so he should produce good numbers yeah? I guess that will depend on his OLine…..

didnt play in dallas.

I hope you didn't reach for Suh.

I know you haven’t done an IDP league before, so a piece of advice: DT’s are next to worthless. Don’t be afraid to replace him if he struggles early or takes a knock (very possible, btw).

I also wouldn’t keep a DP on the bench unless it’s a really solid linebacker (doubly so since tackles are 2 points each). Drop one of your safeties to get Ingram. I would still look to upgrade both Garcon and Sims-Walker. Garcon is overrated, even if Peyton does play.

Do QB’s get 4 or 6 points for touchdowns? If 4, definitely get Stafford out of your flex spot and insert a RB. Think about doing it anyway even if it’s 6.

Your starters are solid, but you definitely need to hit the waiver wire in the first 4 weeks to be able to fill in the holes when the bye weeks start to hit.

I didn't reach for Suh but I have to have a DT in the line up.

He was one of my last 5 picks but I think picked as the first DT off the board. He had 10 sacks last year and like 50 or 60 tackles…so I figure thats close to a RB or WR that has 10 TD’s. Am I flawed in thinking this?

I dropped Garcon and added Ingram.

I have held on to Laron Landry just to keep him away from other teams……do you think that is a good strategy or am I overthinking that move?

Landry is a great safety to have

He led the league in tackles for a safety last year, and is a good bet to do the same this year. Berry’s tackle numbers are sort of pedestrian for an 8-man league, and there’s definitely no guarantee that he can give you 5 INTs like last year. Personally, I would dump Berry, but I don’t think you’d be wrong to keep them both.

Here’s something to think about, though: Each team only has to start 1 safety, so there will always be plenty of them on the waiver wire. Unless he’s elite (like Landry), you’re probably better off picking up a backup during Washington’s bye week than hanging onto a middling option. It will be much harder to find quality offensive players on the scrap heap. Not only is the player pool reduced, but the vast majority of fantasy football analysis is done on these players, so they are less likely to slip under the radar than a decent safety (or DT, or whatever)

That's what I would do.

I like Mike Thomas a lot.

The other thing you can do is wait until after Week 1 and see if there’s a breakout WR and just add him. Of course, there’s always the risk that Thomas (or Garcon) is that breakout. Safeties and other IDPs are less likely to post gaudy numbers out of nowhere, which is why I wouldn’t harbor any on my bench.
