Keeper league Trade Help
I can get Andrew McCutchen and a 1st Round pick in Minor league Draft (From worst team, so likely 1st pick, would be Rendon, or Lots of stud Pitchers.
4
Ackley, Wieters, Dominic Brown.
I have Avila at Catcher already, and Weeks at 2B already, while Brown is just bench depth currently in my OF. (I have Justin Upton, Hunter Pence, Morse, Boesch, Bourne, and Ichiro in my OF already.)
Do it, or Pass?
Thanks,
Jax

I
voted make the trade, but I’m curious as to what the scoring is in your league.

Scoring
Is head to Head, 12 teams, 7 Pitching, 7 hitting, weekly Line-up lock.
Hitting: Avg, OBP, TB, SB, HR, R, RBI
Pitching: W, QS, ERA, WHIP, S, HD, K
Also
Is an auction league, with contracts, so no set # of Keepers each year, Wieters, Ackley, Brown all still on rookie contracts of 3 years. While McC has a 2 year contract, low $ value

I would do the deal…,McCutchen is proven and could be a top 15 pick in 2012.

note
I changed my mind after voting….I voted to pass on teh deal. My crush on McCutchen was too strong, so make the deal.

I would just eliminate certain parts of the deal and offer Dom and Wieters for McCutchen.
You won’t get a 2011 draft pick as valuable as Ackley.

You can't compare Ackley, now in the majors leagues, now with 1.5 years of minor league data to work with, against Rendon who is not signed yet, who has injury questions, who has never played above college.
I’m not saying that Rendon doesn’t have higher upside, but you just can’t compare the 2. Ackley is here, now.

I don't know
there was talk earlier this season that some would have ranked Rendon ahead of Harper if Rendon was eligible in the 2010 draft IIRC. Plus, if Rendon can move to 2B, as has been rumored, he will have tremendous value if he can stay healthy and play 2b.
The Nats have gold glover Ryan Zimmerman at third, so Rendon to 2b make some sense.

I agree
Ackley is up now, but like I said I have Weeks, so have no need for Ackley currently, and I am a Mariners fan and still don’t see Ackley as a Future Fantasy star, High average, good OBP, but limited power might not ever run more then 20 SB’s a year. Rendon has a chance to be a 30 Homer, middle of the order tyep to me, and maybe even all of that at 2b, and if he does not sign some how, I would then take a different player #1 like Tajain Walker, or Bauer. Just my thoughts.

Yes, but Rendon isn't even signed yet and has questionable medicals.
He’s only a junior, his agent is Scott Boras, I’d say there’s a more than zero chance he returns to school.
Before the college season there was talk that he was a better prospect than Harper, but Harper is unquestionably better as of now.
My point with Ackley is that I wouldn’t trade him for an unsigned, unknown, Rendon. You could probably trade Ackley for someone with higher value.

an article with a poll.
