Possible Blockbuster?

PrintMy buddy and I are in talks about a possible trade. I am in a head to head league for big money and the hitting stats work as single = 1 point dbl = 2 triple = 3, Stolen Base = 1, Strike out = -.5, HR= 6.5 for a solo shot more if runners are on, Run scored = 1 point, RBI = 1 point per RBI.
The deal is involving me sending Justin Upton (121.5 points currently) and Mike Aviles (109.5 points) for David Wright (107 points) and Carl Crawford (63 points). My outfield already consists of Mike Stanton, Carlos Gonzalez and Jason Heyward so I have Upton as my utility guy. I have a gaping hole at 3B right now with Pablo Sandivol on the DL for me and possibly losing all his power with that hand surgery and Pedro Alverez with his nasty slump and nagging injury. I have Aviles playing Second for me right now so I would have to pick up a second baseman off my free agent wire which the leading guys would be; Orlando Cabrera (99 poinys), Darwin Barney (97 points) and Freddy Sanchez (89 points). What do you guys think? Should I pursue this or leave it?

i'd do it.
crawford has to eventually heat up in that lineup and close the gap on upton. the difference between aviles and and whoever you replace him with is much smaller than the difference between wright and the 3b most likely out there. i guess it comes down to who you’d have to drop to make room for that new 2b.

Aviles is solid right now, but Crawford and Wright > Upton/Aviles over the course of teh season.
