Dynasty Style League Trade

Chris Carpenter For Shelby Miller and Drew Pomeranz.. 20 team league and that still leaves me with R. Delgado Dwyer Duffy and J.Parker on my minor league roster, along with Beachy, Strasburg and Holland as my young core.

seems like a win-win. but I hate giving up Miller, and he only wants those two pitchers.

Other Option is to Add Soto on my side and maybe get back Sanchez. Though Im not sure if I like that trade.

Are you a front runner to win this year?

Unless you plan on making a serious run for the title this year and desperately need a SP to do it I wouldn’t make that trade. Carpenter is on the tail end of his career while the two youngsters are a couple of the best pitchers in the minors. A couple of decline seasons from a former star isn’t worth giving up 2 guys who could eventually become keys to future championships. Your minor league pitching is solid but those 2 guys are probably the next best you have after Strasburg.

The Soto option is even worse.
