Trade front help
So one of my major leagues is a 14 team keeper league (10 players kept, round drafted doesn't carry over so they basically take up the first 10 rounds) 7x7 with K/9, BBs, OBP, and SLG as the extra stats. I have 2 quality second basemen in Kinsler and Zobrist and I have been trying to deal one of them for pitching (my best starter is Marcum). I was thinking about offering Kinsler and Kevin Gregg (I am pretty set at closer) for Tabata and either Tommy Hanson or David Price.
1) Do you think it makes sense to trade one of my second basemen when I can just keep playing Zobrist in the outfield?
2) Am I getting good enough value out of the trade?
3) Should I go for Hanson or Price?

Well i would do the trade,
Marcum is good but if he is your best pitcher shesh. I would definitly go for price he is 4-3 with a good Era and has alot of K’s.
wow i am sorry

Hanson or Price
Either one would be great; I would lean toward Hanson because he has a slight advantage in strikeouts, which are redundant in your league.

Take Price
his team sucks but he by far the better pitcher. I would do it though. If I ever get stacked at a certain position i usually try to deal one while they aare riding the hot streak (ie. how I got Justin Upton for Soriano). I would def persue pitching as well if youre best pitcher is Marcum. Dude’s good but I wouldn’t want my best pitcher from Toronto who plays the majority of his games against Boston and New York who feature two of the best line ups in the league not to meantion a DH which is just one more weapon he has to face. Almost all my Pitchers are out of the NL simply because they have a little bit easier of pitching match ups. Granted my pitchers have been terrible thus far besides Chacin and De La Rosa, but I have confidence Carpenter and Gallardo will pick it up. Anyways I would prob try to get Price and I would probably try to keep Kinsler and deal Zobrist. Kinsler plays on a better hitting team and hits 2nd for Texas I believe. That means he gets a but load of at bats with the ability to almost always knock in runs or get knocked in with his stellar offense.

Marcum is a Brewer now
Also, I have to disagree with you when you say Price is by far the better pitcher. Through nearly the same amount of innings in their career Hanson tops him in K/9, BB/9, HR/9, HR/FB, ERA, FIP, and xFIP with a higher BABIP against. Both pitchers are improving but it’s Hanson who has been better and is improving more.

dang forgot
Marcum changed teams haha. Anyways your stats do show Hanson as the better guy. I’d still take Price =)

if you can get either one in that deal
do it, that’s a major win for you. I’d lean Hanson, especially if K/9 and BBs are included (significant advantage in former, about even in the latter)
Hanson
solid SP and on the better team with the better bullpen
