Trout's numbers are not as eye popping as last year but he is still having a fine season nonetheless. He is batting .316 with a .241 ISO and has 4 successful steals in 6 attempts. He is striking out more than 20% of the time but that should be expected from any player his age playing at such a high level.
Jaff Decker - Padres LF DOB: 02/23/90
Decker continues to hit for power but the AVG has taken a major dip. He has only 5 hits in the past 10 games, with 3 of them going over the fence. His ISO is an unreal .400 after 25 games and he is walking 18.6% of the time. He is also striking out 32.6% of the time.
The Dominican pitcher has put up an awesome 40/4 K/BB ratio in his first 5 starts spanning 28.2 innings. He has an ERA of 1.88 and will likely be listed near the top of many prospect lists at the end of the season.
Wilin Rosario - Rockies C DOB: 02/23/89
Rosario is crushing the ball and has increased his ISO from .267 last year to .308 this year. The Rockies catcher is making a case for being the top catcher not in the minors. With Iannetta struggling we could see Rosario in Colorado at some point this season.
The young Venezuelan seems to have adjusted to the Texas League in his second go around. He has 24 Ks in 23 innings and his ERA is a solid 2. 74.
Lamb has yet to win this season but is sporting a good 3.22 ERA. He is walking a lot of batters with 12 in 22.1 innings but has limited the damage by keeping opposing hitters to a .222 AVG.
Blake Tekotte - Padres CF DOB: 05/24/87
Tekotte leads the Texas League with a 1.149 OPS and is in a tie for third with 9 steals. The soon-to-be 24 year old is in the middle of a breakout season after showing flashes of being a power/speed threat. He is likely still at least a year away from the majors but could be a name to watch as he has the potential to put up some great fantasy numbers.
Miguel De Los Santos - Rangers P DOB: 07/10/88
The Dominican lefty can rack up the strikeouts like few others in the minors but control has been his Achilles heel. He has 29 Ks in 23 innings this year and has also walked 15. The lack of command has led to an 8.22 ERA.
Casey Kelly - Padres SP DOB: 10/04/89
The Padres must be happy with their new acquisition as he is sporting a respectable 3.78 ERA after 6 starts. He has tossed 33.1 innings and is doing a good job keeping the ball on the ground. He has more than twice as many ground outs to fly outs.
James Darnell - Padres 3B DOB: 01/19/87
James Darnell is right in the middle of the conversation for TL MVP and could be the leading candidate. He has 11 doubles and 4 home runs to go with a .382 AVG.Those numbers are all fine and dandy but the really eye opening stat is his 22/12 BB/K ratio. The high volume of walks have his OBP sitting at a cool .500. It looks like San Diego has an excellent third base prospect who can hit for power, average and can reach base with the best of them.
