Did I get a good trade???
I am in a 13 team, 5 x 5 rotisserie league and i was just offered this trade, and i accepted it because i thought i was getting a really good deal. I get: Matt Kemp, Starlin Castro, and Russell Martin. I give: Hanley Ramirez, Gordon Beckham, and Kevin Gregg. I personally am extremely happy with this trade. I am also a die-hard yankees fan and i think russell martin is going to have an incredible bounce back year (.290 avg, 25 HRs, 90 RBIs, 15 steals). And then since i lost my only 2nd baseman i needed to trade for one immediately. And then after this trade i followed it up with, I get: Aaron Hill, and Angel Pagan. I give: BJ Upton, and juan Uribe. I'm not as happy with that trade as I am with my other one, but i got what i needed and i got most of those steals back with angel pagan. But im stacked with steals anyway so it doesnt really matter. Remember that Aaron Hill had 36 HRs and 108 RBIs 2 seasons ago. So how do you guys think i did with both of my trades? Comments?

As of right now I like the trade.
But this could change in the comming months. Hanley is bound to get hot, while the players you are getting are due to cool off.
My adopted son: Edwin Escobar. SOLID.
I was going to say the same thing
though a little less intelligently.
I like the deal
Matt Kemp is the highest producing out fielder right now.. Not a big fan of Hill but both the deals are good. I think your first one you really cleaned up. Hanley just really isn’t what he used to be. All of Florida’s hitting has been Gabby Sanchez and Mike Stanton. I think Hanley is batting like .200 if he’slucky so nice pick up.

TyRay Felson for MVP!
Looks like a classic case of buying low and selling high
that is, for the guys you traded with.
It doesn’t mean it won’t work out, but you’re paying for a relatively small sample size of past performance. Matt Kemp’s best month last year was April too. Hanley’s 2nd worst month last was April as well. It’s not a question of if both regress towards the mean, it’s a matter of when.
It’s a fair trade though, and since you’re high on Martin, it certainly makes sense.
