The Royals have called up first base prospect Eric Hosmer today and sent down Kila Ka'aihue to AAA.
Hosmer is expected to start and play first base tonight on Friday night. I have to say that I am very surprised at this move, but, as Jeremy mentioned in his post this morning, Hosmer has been tearing up AAA this season. I just wonder that since they won't be ready to win for another couple years, why you would riush him.
I am also surprised that Hosmer was called up before third base prospect Mike Moustakas. We will see Moustakas soon enough, but will we see Mike Montgomery or Danny Duffy this season as well?
