many of you may have seen the deal I made in my post yesterday and I just made one more deal. I would like you guys to tell me how I did.
Deal still pending but it most likely will be done: I send Jorge De La Rosa and Mike Aviles for Ian Kennedy and Dan Uggla.
The next deal that is official is I send Alphonso Soriano for Justin Upton.
I think I win both trades. I needed an upgrade in pitching really bad. I think Kennedy is stronger than De la Rosa. I also think i win the Upton deal. I add Upton to my OF crop of Carlos Gonzalez, Mike Stanton and Jason Heyward giving me what I think is the best OF in my league. I will have Upton hit in my Utility/DH position from here on out.
I am also currently working on a deal for Max Scherzer and it may require one of my OF's plus a pitcher like Garza or Carpenter for Scherzer and Nick Swisher. A proposed deal would possibly be Garz and Upton for Scherzer and Swisher. Idk if I would pull the trigger on that and I kind of want to see how Kennedy helps out my new staff. Chacin got me a win and he has been the only one pitching consistently for me besides De La Rosa who will no longer be on my team. Let me know your guy'sthoughts on my deals. It sounds like from my previous post the people like my JDLR for Kennedy deal. I really like my Upton for Soriano deal tho.
FYI this is a money league... Winner takes close to $1000 and the league scoring is on my fan post from yesterday if you are curious.

Soriano has 11 Upton has 6… I got lucky on the Upton one. The guys team is also struggling bad and wanted a change.

Kennedy might not be better than JDLR but they are basically a wash. Where you win is with Uggla.
The Upton for Soriano trade is just ridiculous. You cashed in on Soriano’s unlikely power surge then traded him off for a stud OF. Good job.

sorry for being so late on the fanposts. I will try to get to them quicker going forward.
Nasty-you won both deal imo. Uggla always starts out slow…he should be fine, and Soriano isn;t going to maintain his 27% HR/FB rate.

Garza/Upton for Scherzer/Swisher does not make sense. Garza/Swisher for Scherzer/Upton would make a lot more sense so I’m assuming you go the names mixed up!

the only reason I would consider Upton and Garza for Scherzer Swisher is because i have Cargo, Stanton and Heyward but I think I will back off. I might try to dangle Garza and one of my catchers (Weiters/Montero) for Scherzer.

Garza alone is better than Scherzer. You don’t need to trade Garza+ for Scherzer. He needs to trade you Scherzer+ for Garza.

Meh my league is fun
there are 4 guys (i include myself in this mix) that really know what they are doing. Then there are 4 more that know enough to get by and still try. Then we have 2 that set their lineups once a week, never make trades or add/drop free agents and just play like that. I lucked out with Soriano for Upton. He likes HR hitters, I took advantage of that, offered up Soriano and his 11 bombs for Upton. Didn’t think he’d bite but he did. My Kennedy trade still isn’t through yet but I hope it happens. I need a solid pitcher bad. Gallardo and Carps are killing me right now. They were my first 2 pictehrs taken in my draft and they are just absolute duds right now.

With the Kennedy?JDLR trade on hold I am trying to work out a JDLR and Montero for James Shields trade. What do you guys think about that? Better than the Kennedy JDLR trade?

offered it up, and he accepted. Our league has veot power and its not proccessed for another 45 min so we shall see soon enough if it still happens. I just offered it up and got lucky haha
