Holliday/Pineda for Longoria/Masterson?

Hey Guys,

Today the guy I have been battling with on getting Evan Longoria counter offered a trade today. I was wondering what you guys think? I was surprised and my initial reaction is to accept it.

IMO, it's a fair trade

Figgins is terrible, so Longo is obviously a huge upgrade at 3B. Losing Holliday in your OF would hurt a lot, since Juan Pierre would need to be given a full-time roster spot. For the purposes of this trade, I see Pineda and Masterson as a wash, so ultimately you need to decide if the upgrade from Figgins to Longo overcomes the downgrade from Holliday to Pierre. Try looking at it this way: would you trade Holliday and Figgins for Longo and Pierre?

Also, I have no idea what kind of league you’re in, but I don’t see any big gain or loss in this deal for you.
