Should I do this trade?

First of all, im in a 5 x 5 roto 13 team espn league, and about 30 minutes ago my twin brother offered me this trade. I give: Starlon Castro and Nick Swisher, I get: Chone Figgins and OF Chris Young. Should I do the trade? My needs are SBs and Average. Im just writing this sentence so that I can reach the seventy five word limit requirement. So what do you guys think i should do?

you are getting SBs in the deal, but not BA. And you are giving up Castro who provides a solid BA.
I might hold off as both Figgins and Young are BA killers.

Uhm

Idk man. Chris Young is nice but he’s always all over the lineup. One day he’s batting leadoff, the next he’s batting 8th. When I make a trade I always like to target the best player in the deal. I feel Castro is the best player in this deal. I would hold off.

NO WAY

Castro is proving to be a solid SS, with contributions across the board, except power. Figgins is rapidly becoming a fantasy afterthought. Chris Young will give you power, but his K% is going to be around 25% all year, and Swisher could easily provide as many HRs as Young.

Net value of this trade seems negative for you.

Don't love it

unless you’re seriously hurting for SPs. Kemp is the top CF in the game, and I hate trading bats for arms. Adam Jones is a chronic under-performer, as Lind seems to be turning into, as well. Melancon isn’t guaranteed to close and hasn’t dominated – same for Jansen, that’s a wash. Trumbo has the 1B job for the year and is decent, if nothing else.

Bottom line, you’re trading Kemp for Beckett, and I wouldn’t do it, even as good as Beckett has been.
