I was trading emails with another league owner last night, discussing a couple games going on at the time, and at the end of the email thread, he said something to the effect of "how do people not watch baseball". I agreed. I told him I rarely get 6 hours sleep during the work week because I am up watching baseball and writing. I get up at 6am to get to work at 8am, so there is little time to sleep when the Dodgers are playing at home, or playing a West Coast opponent.
Then, on the way to work this morning, listening to First Pitch with Jim Memolo and Rob Dibble on XM89, Dibble talked about this article about Blue Jays pitcher Ricky Romero and J.P. Arencibia who dedicated last night's game to a young fan who lost his battle with leukemia.
Its a great read. And shows that baseball players are human.
