Rizzo vs. Hosmer Long Term
I have an interesting situation that I am trying to weigh for the long term. Anthony Rizzo is still available on the waiver wire and would be a great addition for my club. The problem is I have no place to play him. I am in a Keeper League where you can keep a player for up to 3 years. Currently my 1st Basemen are Adrian Gonzalez, Eric Hosmer and Gaby Sanchez. Hosmer and Sancehez right now are my UTL players w/ A-Gone at 1st. Looking long term, who would you rather have Hosmer or Rizzo or both? (I can't keep A-Gone because he was a top 2 round pick this year) My other thought is to just pick him up and try to get the King's Ransom for one of the 4.

Hosmer
Rizzo appears to have improved alot this season, but Hosmer is the real deal. I would keep Hosmer for as long as you can. With that said, if you have a spot for Rizzo it can’t hurt.
The issue you have to wonder is how does his power translate to hitting in Petco?

Hosmer is a stud. Rizzo COULD be a stud, but looks more and more like he’s improved but also like a product of PCL parks (cough, Bradon Wood, cough).

Hosmer is and always has been better than Rizzo. Rizzo will be good, Hosmer will be great.
