Julio Teheran To Take Brandon Beachy's Spot in Braves Rotation?
Lots of speculation as to who the Braves will call up to take Brandon Beachy's spot in the Braves rotation on Wednesday. According to this tweet from GwinnettBraves1 (thanks to reader bezerk for the link), Mike Minor started today for AAA Gwinnett.:

G-Braves 5/15 - Young 8, Constanza 7, Lucas 3, Gomez DH, Gartrell 9, Hicks 6, Castillo 4, Bowman 5, McGill 2 - LHP Mike Minor

Julio Teheran pitched on Thursday night where he threw 120 pitches in 7 2/3rd innings. Should he get the call, he would be pitching on 5 days rest. The other option for the Braves is Rodrigo Lopez, who I think gets a guaranteed $1 million if he is called up. Will be an interesting decision for the Braves.

Check how long
Minor lasts tonight. If Minor goes only a couple of innings he will be the guy. I read earlier today that the Braves may use a short start tonight as a primer for a Wednesday start. If Minor goes 5+ it’s going to be Teheran but if he’s in and out for a quick start you best pick up Minor.

Really crazy
I think it’s just the scheduling but I couldn’t imagine a scenario like this, where Teheran will have an extended look, before the season with all the quality arms the Braves have.
