Fantasy Baseball 2011: Hitting The Links Weekend Edition

MILWAUKEE, WI - APRIL 04: Starting pitcher Brandon Beachy #37 of the Atlanta Braves delivers the ball against the Milwaukee Brewers during the home opener at Miller Park on April 4, 2011 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

Here are some fantasy links of interest for you while you take in some lunch and hopefully catch a game this afternoon:

Chris Ryan takes a look at 10 players and gives you his take on their fast start to the 2011 season. He likes Alex Gordon, Edwin Jackson and Joel Hanrahan to continue their fast starts.

Rotohardball's Michael Barr addresses a few players who will gain mulit-position eligibility real soon in his What's on Second? Position Eligibility article.

Will Overton over at Rotoprofessortalks about what to do with some hitters who are off to a hit start including Alex Gordon and Willie Bloomquist.

Rob Cardno over at Rotoprofessor takes a look at a few players that fantasy owners should be aware of going into the second week of the season.

Grey over at Razzball goes over his weekly Buys and Sells including Brandon Belt, Mark Trumbo and Chris Narveson. I recently picked up Narveson in an NL-only league.

John Sickels takes a look at Braves rookie starter Brandon Beachy in his Prospect of the Day article over at Baseball Nation and Minor League Ball. Sickels thinks Beach is a candidate for NL rookie of the year this year. Many fantasy owners, including me, felt that Mike Minor had the upper hand for the Braves 5th starter spot.

Jeff Moore from The Hardball Times discusses some minor leagues teams that are loaded with prospects. The Reds and Royals highlight his list of teams to follow.

Baseball Nation's Rob Neyer addresses Phil Hughes outing vs the Red Sox and his fast ball issues. I think Hughes is hurt and will hit the DL in short order.

More from Baseball Nation's Rob Neyer here as he discusses Brandon Wood and whether he is one of the worst hitters to ever play the game. Some facts bare out that he very well could be.
