So I'm in a 10team H2H league with 26 man rosters. 21 starters, 5 bench.

I have a bunch or relievers & am looking to deal one for more offense.

Offers I've recived:

1. Get: 2B Kelly Johnson, Give: RP Leo Nunez.

2. Get: 3B Pedro Alvarez, Give RP Francisco Cordero

I recently picked up Ian Desmond for Brandon Belt to fill in my MI spot, cuz Sean Rodriguez isn't playing everyday. I'd rather deal away Leo Nunez, But I cannot get Alvarez for Nunez. So I'd have to deal Coco Cordero for Alvarez. Not sure whether or not it's worth giving up Cordero for Alvarez. Any input would be greatly appreciated

anytime you can get a hitter for a closer, you make the deal….and both are good deals….I would take the Alvarez deal.

He is cleanup hitter in Pitt and considered the future of their franchise. He strikes out a lot but will hit 30 big flys this year. Kelly Johnson did well last year but if yo ucould get Alvarez of Johnson I would.

so does Mark Reynolds. Doesn’t mean he is the “future of a franchise”. That will be McCutchen and A. Rendon (when Alvarez moves to 1B in 2 years).

The closers are both fairly close in that they both fall into that second tier of closers- good but not great. I don’t know if your h2h league is points based or categories but that would factor into the decision making as I don’t think anyone would want to punt a category at this point.

Between Kelly Johnson and Alvarez I would go with Johnson. He should be able to out hit Alvarez and your MI is the hole at this point.

I think I would do the Kelly Johnson deal. Not that Alvarez is a bad player, but KJ has a much better chance at having a better offensive year and MI seems to be your need.
