Nick Markakis for Ichrio Suzuki
Markakis for Suzuki
Yes I'm already pouncing on trades even though the season hasn't officially started. I'm still trying to beef up my outfield which will allow me to make some moves daily in my H-2-H league. I need your guys opinion on this.
I really appreciate when all of you put in your two cents. It helps me make decisions.
So right now, in my 8 team mixed league I have in my outfield...
From the charts I'm looking at both stats are equivalent when it comes to runs scored, total points, and total bases. What I do see though is Ichrio has a superior amount of singles and RBI's throughout the season. Though Nick Markakis has less errors, more walks, and more doubles. I know everyone factors in age for Ichrio but just look at his past 3 years - all have had 175 singles or more. That's an awesome track record, but he is still showing baseball mortality.
So should I trade Markakis? or should I not.

Markakis
I think Markakis bounces back this year with a little protection in the lineup and a chance to have runners on base. 90 RBI is within reach again along with 90 R. I don’t think Ichiro produces enough to be worth trading for. Markakis can only go up from last year whereas Ichiro is starting to fade ever so slightly.

Ichiro
in standard fantasy leagues, I don;t know why he is still ranked so high by some of the experts. Other than a high BA and SBs, he doesn’t offer much more. Unless the Mariners offense increases their run production, a repeat of last year is all we can expect.
