Trade Advice

Hey guys, first time fanposter here... I have to make some room, as I have too many keepers and was wondering everyone's thoughts on this deal.

Buster Posey, Maddison Bumgarner, Ricky Nolasco, Leo Nunez, Alex Gonzalez

for

Rickie Weeks, Troy Tulowitzski, Heath Bell.

Salaries are relatively equal (and all pretty cheap) in an NL only dynasty league. Should I do this deal? I figure if I have to get rid of some of these guys any way, I might as well get a pretty solid return, and sell high in Posey. Am I giving too much away? Thanks for the input!

If you’re going to be losing these guys anyway it’s a good trade. Tulo is a top 25 guy (not top 5 like some think but I could easily be wrong). If I can get a top 25 guy with top 5 upside I take it. Bell is also elite at his position and Weeks is as well if healthy. It’s a very good trade.

he is top 5-10

in ESPN standard format with SS, 2b and MI starters, as the drop off to the mid tiers is pretty steep

take it and run

That’s an incredible deal for you. You’re getting a top 3 SS, a top 5 2B and a top CL for a catcher who played so far over his head he couldn’t see his feet (Posey), a pitcher who may or may not turn out to be a #2/3 started (MadBum) and a guy who has had pretty good numbers but will forever be under the radar (Nolasco). The other 2 players don’t matter.

Nunez's slider

is apparently looking amazing this spring so he could be a surprisingly good closer this year.
