So let me give you a little back ground information. We get to keep 5 players in an auction keeper league, where it's $260 to bid on players. I am already keeping $37Miguel Cabrera, $18 Justin Verlander, $5 Delmon Young and $7Jayson Werth. I own Adam Wainwright at $8 and am considering dealing him for Dustin Pedroia for $13.
The starting lineups are small for hitters. CA,1B,2B,SS,3B,3OF and 2 Util.
The best available starters will be Felix Hernandez, Dan Haren, Cole Hamels, C.C. Sabathia and possibly Matt Cain. Robinson Cano is going to be kept and then after that, pretty much every 2b will be available.
I don't want to spend a lot of money on all 2b,SS and 3B, so I figure getting Pedroia will allow me the money to pursue Hanley Ramirez,Jose Reyes and Derek Jeter at SS and David Wright, Alex Rodriguez, and Adrian Beltre at 3rd.
My theory is by having Pedroia on the cheap, I can overspend a little bit on those other guys previously mentioned. Let me know your thoughts ladies and gentleman. I want to know who you would rather have Wainwright or Pedroia, and then if you like my ''game plan'' or not.
