Fake Teams Fantasy Top 100 for 2012: Player #3
Every day, the writers here at Fake Teams provide you fantasy advice and rankings, but now we want to hear from you. I'd like to start a Fake Teams Community Top 100 for 2012.
The way I would like to work it is how the guys over at Minor League Ball handle their Community Prospect Rankings.
Here is how it will work: I will provide a list of players to consider for the FT 100, and you, our readers, will comment with the player you vote for. No explanation is needed. So, if someone were to select Ryan Braun as their choice for #1 overall, and you agreed, all you have to do is REPLY (this is important) with a "+1". Got it? If not, click the link to the Community Prospect Rankings above and you will see how they handle the voting.
Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp was the runaway winner of the #2 ranking in the Fake Teams Community Fantasy Top 100 for 2012. Here are the candidates up for # 3 ranking for the Fake Teams Community Top 100 for 2012:
Albert Pujols, Jacoby Ellsbury, Justin Upton, Jose Bautista, Roy Halladay, Clayton Kershaw,Justin Verlander, Curtis Granderson, Miguel Cabrera, Adrian Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, Joey Votto and Evan Longoria.
If I missed someone, feel free to vote for him.
1. Ryan Braun, MIL
2. Matt Kemp, LAD

Bautista plays OF
but Upton provides more value in 5 X 5 leagues due to the SBs, no?

I wouldn't be voting for Bautista if he didn't have 3rd base eligibility
And 3rd basemen steal a lot less than outfielders as a whole.
It’s basically equal to 15 points a SB for 3rd basemen and 8.75 a SB for an outfielder.
Upton: 183.75 points from stolen bases
Bautista: 135 points from stolen bases
Because he has such a huge edge in homeruns, Bautista is a much better player.

Miguel Cabrera on consistency.
