Week 15 All Fantasy Football Questions Answered Thread

Kevin Smith is expected to start at running back for the Lions this week, as confirmed by The Detroit News and DetroitLions.com. As fantasy owners, we're always looking for that edge especially when it comes to the fantasy playoffs. Smith might be one of those players that really surprises and puts you over the top. Oakland has been giving up chunks of yardage to opposition ground games. Do you think Kevin Smith can be a difference maker for fantasy teams in Week 15?

Ben Roethlisberger is still questionable for Monday night's game but he did put in a limited practice on Friday. It look like he will play but keep your eye on the fantasy news wire for the most up-to-date information. If he did start, it would make a big difference for all of the offensive skill position players for Pittsburgh. Will Ben Roethlisberger start Monday night?

Another injured player that can make a big difference for fantasy owners is Adrian Peterson. It looks 99 percent certain that he will start against the Saints on Sunday. This is great news for all of us that own AP and need him to put our team over the top in our fantasy playoffs. The Vikings might take it a bit easier with him but with his skill level, he is impossible to bench. I think we'll see a vintage Peterson performance this week. How do you think Adrian Peterson will perform in Week 15?

Let us know what you think about these situations or ask us any fantasy football question in the thread below.

League 1: Marion Barber, Beanie Wells, Darren Sproles, Santana Moss. Pick 3. Thanks!
League 2: Percy Harvin, Felix Jones, or Miles Austin for flex?

Go Eagles!

League 1- start Barber- he’s pretty much their best offensive weapon. start Wells- he’ll have a great day against the Browns. start Sproles- I think he’s going to go crazy against the Vikes

League 2- start Jones- he’s the Cowboys lead back now and will get 20-30 touches/targets against Tampa

Fitz or Stevie?

I think Antonio Brown is out of the question, I just can’t afford to wait until Monday to see what’s up with Pittsburgh at QB.

Also, would you consider Tebow at home vs. the Pats over Stafford going to the west coast to face the Raiders?

Owen Daniels or Brandon Pettigrew?

by pooptallica on Dec 17, 2011 2:29 PM EST reply actions

start Fitz

I think he’ll do great against the Browns. Skelton will force it to him. They also might use him out of the slot more to change the coverage

start Stafford- you can’t bench him. Plus Oakland is now without Chris Johnson at CB

Start Pettigrew- I’m starting him myself. I think he has the higher reward than Daniels. Too many options at TE for Yates

Went with Fitz

10 big yards in the first half. Woohoo.

Not that it matters, I’m up against Brady, Reggie Bush, and Lance Moore. Oh, and Brent F-ing Celek, too.

QB dilema

Hi
Should i start Freeman (who is in a slump) tonigh or TJ. Yates tomorow ?

by Jupap7 on Dec 17, 2011 2:54 PM EST reply actions

start Freeman

Tampa is probably going to abandon the run and go pass heavy. While Houston has been content to stick with their running game and let Yates be simply a game manager

by dukeallstar on Dec 17, 2011 7:50 PM EST up reply actions

If Raheem Morris abandons the run early again

When it has clearly been a losing strategy every single time they have done it this season, then he should be fired immediately after the game.

He’s getting fired, anyway. This would at least show without a doubt why.

Hell, fire him at halftime

He has done so poorly with this team this year, it’s pathetic. Not that the Bucs were going to be all that good, but they could have done so much better with what they have.

by pooptallica on Dec 17, 2011 8:02 PM EST up reply actions

Yep

Fire Raheem now. Let Ronde Barber run the defense in the 2nd half. Can’t possibly be any worse.

Do you trust Grossman?

I don’t, but I still am leaning towards him vs Mark Sanchez and Jake Locker as a QB2. Part of me worries he’ll have a sack-fumble then throw a pick in his first two series of the game.

Any reason to talk me out of this insanity?

by AGuinness on Dec 17, 2011 7:50 PM EST reply actions

start Grossman

He performed really well in the matchup with NY in Week 1. Even if they do fall behind, they’ll be using the passing game to try and stay close or catch up. The Giants have been giving up alot of points in the last few weeks. In my rankings it’s close but personally I’d go with Rex, I trust him this week

by dukeallstar on Dec 17, 2011 7:53 PM EST up reply actions

Agreed...

But I do see the possibility of Rex seeing the bench if he really stinks it up to start the game.

Defenses

Bengals (@ St. Louis) or Titans (@ Indy)

Bengals

STL is the lowest-scoring team in the NFL, and their O-Line is a mess. They’ve started 9 different guys on the line this season. Plus Kellen Clemens is starting at QB. There is nothing to like about the Rams’ offense today, and everything to like about the Bengals’ D.

by pooptallica on Dec 18, 2011 9:54 AM EST up reply actions

MicThaRock

start Bengals- The Rams have struggled all year, while the Bengals defense has been lights out. With a third string QB, there is nothing positive to say about St. Louis. I would feel very confident starting the Bengals

WR

Any thoughts on Stevie Johnson vs. Demetrius Thomas? I’m leaning towards Thomas, thanks to Johnson’s matchup.

by AGuinness on Dec 18, 2011 11:37 AM EST reply actions

Adrian Peterson or Brandon Marshall?

AP – he’s coming back from injury (less runs) and his team might get smashed (less runs)
Brandon – Matt Moore might not play

How will Pitt securing a playoff spot today affect their defense tomorrow?

My league gives negative points for defenses that give up more than 28 points.

by never. on Dec 18, 2011 6:10 PM EST reply actions

I agree...

the Pitt. defense should do really well against the Niners. I wouldn’t be worried.
