Douchebaggery 101: The Sabotage Waive

So today, I logged in to my fantasy football team, just to see if anyone interesting had been signed/waived, and this is what I saw:

Screenhunter_01_dec

Your eyes do not deceive you. Dream Team, after failing to make the playoffs, basically released his top two players just to screw up the natural progression of the league. Fortunately, the league I'm in has a competent commissioner who I trust will reverse this, but I cannot stress this enough, in case anyone in the FakeTeams audience is considering doing this in a league they're not winning in: if you do this, you are a douchebag. You are a bitter, sore-losing dick. I don't care if you're a good person in real life. I don't care if you go to church, or if you get good grades at school, or if you once pulled a man out of a burning vehicle that was about to blow up. If you are the type of person who goes out of his way to waive great players just to eff up the playoffs for everyone else, you are a douche. Period. End of story.

Don't be like Dream Team. If you lose, lose with class. Don't ruin the experience for everyone else.

I hate when people do that. That’s why it’s no more public leagues for me.

I’ve never been able to get into public leagues.

Looking forward to more stories tagged with that term. The current total is (drum roll): 1.

I do make it a point of emphasis

although is is hard to work douchebaggery in the average fantasy discussion.
