Didn’t want to crowd the votes. Verlander over Halladay for top pitcher? Care to explain?

Personal opinion I suppose.
Verlander: 24-5, 2.40 ERA, 251 innings, 250 Ks, 57 bbs, .92 WHIP, 4.39 K/BB, 9 K/9
Halladay: 19-6, 2.35 ERA, 233.2 innings, 220 Ks, 35 bbs, 1.04 WHIP, 6.28 K/bb, 8.5 K/9
And Verlander is six years younger which makes me feel a little safer I suppose.

I like both of them but...
could Verlander have had a stand out year in 2011.
Their 3 year averages going into 2011
Verlander: 16-12, 3.84 ERA, 222 IP, 221 K, 74 BB, 1.24 WHIP, 2.9 K/BB, 8.8 K/9
Halladay: 19-10, 2.67 ERA, 245 IP, 211 K, 35 BB, 1.07 WHIP, 6.1 K/BB, 7.7 K/9
Halladay’s numbers look pretty much the same for 2011 but Verlander’s became much better in 2011 than his average.
I guess I’m being devil’s advocate because I’ve never owned Halladay and almost always grab Verlander. I do like the fact that Verlander is six years younger.
Bingo
Safer? I’m not sure anyone is safer than Halladay. He’s healthy and has been for a while. He’s improving which is scary to think. Verlander didn’t improve all that much last season. BABIP really swings how he performs and the Detroit defense is pretty shaky.
