Fantasy Football 2011: Week 10 Wide Receiver Rankings
UPDATE: DESEAN JACKSON WILL NOT PLAY IN TODAY'S DREAM MATCHUP AGAINST THE CARDINALS DUE TO MISSING A TEAM MEETING. MACLIN IN LINE FOR HUGE DAY.
Week 10. Thank God no team is on bye for this make-or-break week for many of you fake footballers. The time is now to load up your bench with potential break-outs and get rid of any dead weight you have. Unfortunately some vital Wide Receivers to your fantasy team have gotten injured recently: Miles Austin, Hakeem Nicks, Andre Johnson among others, not to mention the disappearance of third-year breakout receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey in last week's game. Hopefully you've covered your losses with emerging stars such as Julio Jones, Antonio Brown and Victor Cruz. Speaking of which, here are some wideouts I would keep an eye on during this stretch run to either acquire for cheap or to sell high on...
Buy these potential top-15-20 WRs: Percy Harvin, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Victor Cruz, Brandon Lloyd, Laurent Robinson, Andre Johnson (if his owners are fed up or out of contention), Jacoby Ford/Denarius Moore, Santonio Holmes
Sell these potentially declining WRs: Larry Fitzgerald, DeSean Jackson (wait until after the Cardinals Game, if possible), Roddy White, A.J. Green (all the talent in the world, but that schedule looks BRUTAL), Nate Washington, Greg Little (cut bait - the Browns are godawful), Mike Williams
Lottery Tickets: Austin Pettis, Jonathan Baldwin, Demaryius Thomas, Mark Clayton
Week 10 Ranks After the Jump...
Players I Like This Week: Dez Bryant, Eagles WRs, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Laurent Robinson
Players I Don't Like This Week: A.J. Green, Roddy White, Mike Williams

Who should be my flex? PPR league plus points per return yards.
Joshua Cribbs, Jacoby Ford, Roy Helu.
Helu
always go guaranteed touches. If Shanahan changes his mind, go Cribbs. Make sure you check back Sunday Morning for updates!

Got a dilemma...
A good dilemma i think
Julio Jones, Steve Smith, Vincent Jackson, or Andre Johnson… pick 2, or pick 3 if you think i should start one of them over Fred Jackson at flex this week
Go Eagles!

JJ and Smith
VJax has had one good game (granted, a spectacular game) and AJ may still be out. Jones and Smith have both been consistently good all year.
Wow. Nice dilemma.
Trade some of your guys.
3 – Fred Jackson, Steve Smith, Vincent Jackson. I don’t think AJ plays. If he does, he’ll be hobbled.

Fitz is ranked too high
The Eagles have consistently shut down opposing teams’ #1 WRs this season, even while allowing big games to #2 and #3 wideouts. And with the possibility of John Skelton back under center again, I’m actually benching him for Antonio Brown this week.
I wasn't sure where to rank Fitz.
I didn’t want to knock him out of the top -10 as I feel ultimately talent wins out. He’s ridiculous. I wish Kurt Warner would un-retire.

No kidding
He is just so screwed by circumstance these last couple of years, it’s a shame. I hate to see what should be his peak years ruined by playing for bad teams with reprehensible quarterbacks. Matt Leinart really fucked the Cardinals for a long time.

Agreed.
Kolb has been a bust so far. Let’s hope he improves as he gets healthy and more familiar with the O. If I was fitz, I would’ve bolted for a super Bowl-caliber team.

I just gave this hypothetical some thought
Imagine Fitz on a team with a decent QB, that needs a receiver, like the Bears, Ravens (I never expected Boldin to excel there, he’s a great #2 but needs someone to take attention away to truly succeed), or even the Rams. Hate seeing such otherworldly talent go to waste in the cesspool that Arizona has become.

Hell, put Fitz-g with Fitz-p
He would be unstoppable in Chan Gailey’s offense.

In a pickle at WR2 this week
Took the good advice of buying on Andre Johnson, but with he and Nicks both potentially benched this week, I may have to look to the waiver wire for a WR2 in my make-or-break week. Fortunately I’m going against a lower opponent, but I’m more concerned about scoring enough points to overcome tie breakers than anything. At any rate, this is a must-win game for me. Here’s what’s available:
Torrey Smith, Plaxico Burress, Laurent Robinson, Michael Crabtree, Denarius Moore, and David Nelson.
Right now, I’m leaning towards picking up Robinson with Miles Austin out.
