I believe the previous owner had every intention of returning, but he has vanished from several forums. I wish him the best, but we must move on. The team up for inheritance is nothing to write home about, but you only have to keep a minimum of eight players, by signing them to contracts. Trout anyone?

Players chosen to keep, can be tendered contracts ranging from one to six years. Longer contracts are subject to signing bonus' and draft pick compensation. Keeper salaries are deducted from a $300 budget, with the remainder to be used during the free agent auction. Our league is designed to enable owners, the opportunity to field a championship squad in any given season.
As commissioner, league organization and competition is my top priority. If you are knowledgable and dedicated, please email me at <!-- e -->thismustbesatire@yahoo.com for more info<!-- e -->. The winter meetings start soon, so preliminary trade discussions are underway. Thank you for your time.

Good chance for building a team
I joined the league a few weeks ago and have had a blast. IMHO “Dynasty League” is a bit of a misnomer in that there are 6 year maximum contracts in place. This available team will have a LOT of money to play with at the auction draft. If you want Trout in a league, here he is and, if you want, you can sign him now to a maximum contract at minimal cost. It really does simulate the decisions a team has to make in managing their personnel over the long term. Also, you don’t keep your entire roster as some Dynasty leagues do. There is a minimum, and a maximum, number of keepers. What is fixed is the starting budget and that’s where the challenge is. OK,
I’ll get off the soap box.
good owners are hard to come by
Hey JJ, the roster you took over is actually the handywork of a writer for this site, mahoney1213. As you know, your team is very talented but TJ did not make the playoffs. As such, I’m beginning to question the qualifications of Fake Teams contributors as a whole. From their own admission, the big boys Guilfoyle and Bishop don’t have experience in this kind of league. And from the comments on the FT dynasty post, it appears the majority of this site’s visitors are of the amateur variety. I know you saw my last fanpost through SB nation, and I thank you for sharing your opinion. Hopefully, another adept owner will stumble upon this roster, and we can carry on with our offseason procedures.
To start, I would extend G. Sanchez, Jeter, Joyce, Trout, Gonzalez, Romero, J. Sanchez, and Britton. This team will have significantly more money to spend in free agency due to the bargain values. CarGo can likely be reacquired for less than $39 in the auction. This team has a SoCal undertone as the previous owner was from San Francisco, so I’m sure we will find a fit before the winter meetings. If not, I will just pay for an interim manager to rebuild this team for next year, I know several in other established leagues who are too cheap to play for cash.

Solid Plan
Try and find a manager on this site by bashing everyone who uses it. Couldn’t have thought of something better myself.
"bashing" is a reach
There’s no shame in being called an amateur dude, many aspiring actresses prefer that nomenclature. All kidding aside, I have participated in several failed dynasty experiments, so I am familiar with the flaws and strengths. With that said, I wish you the best of luck. For those who wish to spare themselves the headache, during the inevitable periods of adjustment and readjustment, you should opt for the proven product. Our league is ellaborate and refined, albeit expensive. If anyone is hesitant to invest, I would be glad to help cover some of the entry fee in exchange for a long-term commitment. After all, a good owner is worth far more than a little money.
On a side note, I do respect the authors and content of this site. I’m just curious about the disparity between writing as a fantasy expert, and winning as a fantasy expert.

I’m certainly not a fantasy or prospect expert, not even a “gifted amateur” to borrow a phrase from an old Burt Reynolds car chase movie. I joined because the concept of the league was so different. I like the idea of salary planning and projecting future values for my roster. It’s more expensive than new Strato cards for 2012 but less than renewing a team from most on line simulation leagues. If I win or contend, great, but I’m more interested in learning something new and trying out some of my own ideas on building a team.
