Fine with the overall winners
But I would change the top 3 for sure.
AL
1. Michael Pineda
2. Brett Lawrie
3, Alexei Ogando
NL
1. Craig Kimbrel
2. Brandon Beachy
3. Danny Espinosa
Ogando is ineligible for the award
Nobody should have voted for him.

More than 45 days on the 25-man roster prior to 2011
Here’s Ogando’s game log from 2010, showing his presence for well over 45 days.

No idea he was on there for so long
Weird that they didn’t use him much.

wow thanks Ray...
… my post was meant as slap to the voters. Mainly to those who voted for Pineda(hence my Sullivan comment…)Pineda fell off a cliff in the second half and most of these others guys had limited AB’s and will eligible for ROTY next season. Trumbo didn’t have the best K/BB ratios and whatever other advance stats that get people off nowadays, but he killed in traditional HR/RBI/Runs categories. I also don’t like the idea that someone that plays everyday is being clumped in with someone that plays once a week. The voters blew it.

my bad
I see your point on Pineda.
but the award is for rookie of the year, not MVP. They don’t have separate ROY for pitchers and hitters…..

if in your eyes Trumbos numbers equate to an average season...
… for a ROOKIE, then we’ll just agree to disagree on this one.
