Week 12 All Fantasy Football Questions Answered Thread

Mario Manningham is questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans. Manningham has stated in the past that he would play despite injury and has ended up inactive at game time. He missed practice today, which was hist third straight missed practice and casts serious doubt on his availability for Monday night. Do you think that Manningham will play on Monday night?

Another Giant player, Ahmad Bradshaw, has been ruled out for Monday. Bradshaw will now have missed 4 straight games with his foot injury. Bradshaw had got off to a nice start, scoring wise, with 5 touchdowns in 7 games. Brandon Jacobs will get the start but the running game has not been the same since Bradshaw went down. Should Ahmad Bradshaw be viewed as a fantasy bust this season?

Staying with running backs, Adrian Peterson has also been declared out for tomorrow's game against Atlanta. The injury did not seem like a minor injury when it happened and so it is really no surprise that AP will be sidelined. The former second round pick, Toby Gerhart, will be the feature back for Minnesota. But if you watched last weekend's game against Oakland, they used Percy Harvin successfully out of the backfield, after the Peterson injury. It would not be surprising to see Harvin get used in that role again versus Atlanta. It also bears watching whether this ankle injury forces Peterson out for any more games. Do you think AP will be back to play in Week 13?

Let us know what you think about these situations or ask any fantasy football question in the comments below.

I have a really tough decision to make

Who do I sit out of Roddy White, Larry Fitzgerald and Hakeem Nicks?

by netsfanrasmus on Nov 26, 2011 10:13 PM EST reply actions

sit out Nicks

I think White and Fitz are going to have strong games against very weak secondaries in Minnesota and St. Louis. Both have lost multiple corners. I would personally feel safest with those two guys

If you had maneuvered your lineup a little differently

You could have sat Shonn Greene, who sucks, and played all 3. I think I’d go White and Fitz, though.

One thing in that league

if you make sure your early players are in your non-flex roster spots, it gives you a bit more flexibility on your roster. If you had put Kevin Smith at RB instead of RB/WR, you’d still have the option to put a WR in your flex.

who gets more carries this week?

Donald brown or Toby gerhart? It’s half point per carry and 20 yd for a point. Plus Ppr. Not sure how much either will be used.

by mry on Nov 26, 2011 11:13 PM EST via iPhone app reply actions

I think Gerhart

But i have a question about the scoring… So someone who gets 12 carries for 10 yards score more points than someone who gets 1 carry for 90 yards?

by netsfanrasmus on Nov 26, 2011 11:25 PM EST up reply actions

Yes. I hate it. And it’s a keeper league with the half a point per carry recently added to the rules. You can’t change scoring in keeper leagues. But I’m at least playing out this season.

by mry on Nov 26, 2011 11:30 PM EST via iPhone app up reply actions

Wow

That really sucks. Cedric Benson must be a beast in that league.

by pooptallica on Nov 26, 2011 11:33 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah I had a trade offer of ced for Andre Johnson. I couldn’t give up Andre just because of how ridiculous that looks.

Give me Brown

Screw the carries, the upside for Brown this week still has to be greater even with other guys eating in I’d have to think.

by BryanWXOU on Nov 27, 2011 1:37 AM EST up reply actions

I also think Gerhart

He will probably get 2-6 more carries than Brown. Gerhart was use quite a bit in a start against Chicago when AP missed time last year (16-77,3 rec-18 yards)

who should i play in my RB/WR slot?

Antonio Brown vs KC
Earl Bennett vs OAK
Donald Brown vs CAR

I’m thinking of A Brown right now only because E. Bennett lost Cutler and I’m not sure if he’ll still produce with Hanie at QB. D. Brown seems to be Indy’s lead back and he’s up against the worst run def in the league though.

I’m already down this week with my kicker (J. Hanson) giving me 0 pts and one of my RBs was pulled in the second quarter (K. Smith, 5 pts). I’m not too optimistic this week…

I like Antonio Brown here

Donald Brown may end up in a 3-way share with Addai back. Antonio Brown was on my radar from the preseason, and once given the chance, hasn’t looked back.

start Antonio Brown

He is starting now across from Wallace and has a great matchup against KC. I really like his chances for a really good game this week

by dukeallstar on Nov 27, 2011 1:21 AM EST up reply actions

Antonio

Give me Brown, Antonio. Dude is a stud, and it’s not just because Mike Wallace is on the other side. Former target of Dan LeFevour at CMU, steal in the draft by Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has their WRs set for the next five years.

start Washington

He had a super game last week and I think he’ll continue to roll against Tampa

by dukeallstar on Nov 27, 2011 10:08 AM EST up reply actions

Pick my line up:
QB: Tebow
WR: Cruz. Nelson, Maclin, VJax, Colston
RB: SJax, Greene
TE: Graham, Gronk

QB already played, as did one RB spot (Stafford and Murray)

WR, WR, WR, RB, TE, 1 QWRT

Not bad

Cruz, VJax, Colston, SJax, Graham, Gronk

by pooptallica on Nov 27, 2011 4:17 AM EST up reply actions

T.C.

I’m guessing that’s David Nelson because Jordy already played
WR- start Cruz,Colston and VJax

RB- start SJax
TE- start Gronk
Flex – start Tebow. Don’t know your scoring but when you can put a QB there. It’s always the best bet. If you can’t then, start Graham

by dukeallstar on Nov 27, 2011 10:17 AM EST up reply actions

Yeah, it's David, thanks for the help.
