The final bye week is upon us and we'll all be thankful that this is the last one. Give us your questions and thoughts below. Some other things we can discuss: Is Tarvaris Jackson worth picking up to replace Matt Schaub or Matt Cassel? Will Ryan Mathews produce a meaningful game for his owners against Chicago on Sunday? And is Darren McFadden going to produce big numbers down the stretch or share carries with Michael Bush, once he returns? Let us know what you're thinking in the comments.

Greg Jennings, Julio Jones, Stevie Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown & Mike Williams. Yea, definitely strongest at WR. Rivers has been awful & I’ve had busts at RB except for Peterson. Hillis & Felix have been poo.

by DannyO on Nov 17, 2011 12:23 AM EST reply actions

strongest at WR too

i started off the year strong in RB, but who knew welker would blow up this year so big? most awesome 5th round pick ever. it also helps that i picked up antonio brown and victor cruz off the scrap pile (free agent list)

by James Yu on Nov 18, 2011 3:06 PM EST up reply actions

I'm gonna brag here:

Which is strongest:
QB: Stafford, Tebow, Flacco
RB: AP, S. Jackson, Murray, Greene
WR: Austin, Maclin, VJax, Colston, Cruz, Nelson
TE: Graham, Gronkowski

WHICH IS BEST?
(To be fair, it’s a keeper, this team is my baby)

TE

Those are currently the top 2 tight ends in the game. And they should be for many more seasons.

Help! Major game this week!

At QB (1): Romo or Tebow?

At WR (1): Maclin, Laurent Robinson, Damian Williams, or Earl Bennett?

At TE (1): Antonio Gates or Fred Davis?

At Flex (1): One WR/TE already listed

by PhoenixFan on Nov 17, 2011 1:42 AM EST reply actions

Fairly easy choices

Romo, without question. Going against the Redskins, with Tebow against the Jets, it’s a no-brainer.

Robinson – Maclin likely won’t play, Williams is becoming a nice option but isn’t at starting level yet, and Bennett is going against a SD team that can be run all over – Cutler won’t need to pass a ton.

Gates – the Cowboys really want to beat the ’Skins and make a statement in the NFC East

Either Bennett or Davis, they’re your top two talents left. Flip a coin. Nah, just go with Bennett. Chicago looks good right now.

by pooptallica on Nov 17, 2011 2:07 AM EST up reply actions

PhoenixFan

QB- Romo, he has a great matchup with Washington and I don’t fully trust Tebow facing the Jets

WR- Robinson. has really stepped up and will out produce the other 3 for sure

TE- Gates. He has a real quarterback passing to him.

Flex- Fred Davis. He will get the most targets from his QB

Start/Sit

I have a bad bad week due to the bye week. No Foster, Graham or Antonio Brown.

BJGE, Starks, Battle, Ogbonnaya, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams (TB), Stevie Johnson, Damian Williams

I unfortunately need 3 of these guys.

Kenwo4life=ratings. Just call me Mr. USA Today.

by KenWo4LiFe on Nov 17, 2011 3:07 AM EST reply actions

BJGE, VJax, and Little Stevie

The Law Firm could see a score or two as the Pats go up early on the Chiefs and grind out the clock, he’s your best option of the four, at least.

VJax will see somewhat softer coverage as Chicago has to defend Vincent Brown, now, as well as Gates, and Stevie Johnson should have a nice bounce-back game against the Miami secondary.

by pooptallica on Nov 17, 2011 9:07 AM EST up reply actions

start V-Jax, Starks and Steve Johnson

Jackson is a must start
Starks is getting the most touches and should get alot of garbage time points
Steve Johnson has a good matchup and should reach the endzone at least once

Defense for Week 11

Would you start the Cowboys defense against the Redskins or the Giants defense against Philly this week?

start Cowboys def.

Washington has been doing nothing against weaker defense. They will get you a ton of points

check out these gems...

… this is a 14 team league in which I drafted Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne with 2 of my top 3 picks, for those of you wondering how in the hell someone could have a team this bad.

Here’s the team team as a whole as of right now…
Carson Palmer
Harry Douglas
Deion Branch
Ray Rice
Daniel Thomas
Anthony Fasano
Torrey Smith
Sebastian Janikowski
Niners D

The Bench
Julio Jones
Jeremy Marlin
Joe McKnight
Owen Daniels

This league gives 1 point per reception and also scores 1 point per 6.66 yards recieving. It also gives 3 points for 100 yards rushing or recieving. Plus 6 points for return TD’s.

My sit/start question has to do with Joe McKnight. Does anyone like him over Daniel Thomas or any of my options for flex? Thanks in advance.

I like him better than Thomas. With Tomlinson out his work load will be pretty good. I really like him against Denver

by dukeallstar on Nov 17, 2011 7:05 PM EST up reply actions

lance ball, Felix jones, Marion barber

I am a McGahee owner so I picked up lance ball. Our league gives half a point per carry, 20 yards for a point, and one point per reception. If McGahee plays, how much do you see ball being used? How many carries do you see Felix jones with this week? My third option is Marion barber. Between McGahee, ball, jones, and barber I have to play 3.

by mry on Nov 17, 2011 11:59 AM EST via iPhone app reply actions

I think Ball will get 15 touches because they are running the ball alot.

I believe Felix jones will get 10 to 12 carries against Washington.

Start McGahee, Ball and Barber. I think Jones needs a game or two to get back up to speed.

QB quandry -- Tebow or Stafford?

Tebow vs Jets, or Stafford vs Panthers?

Both are at home.

I have been riding Tebow as my starter the last 3 weeks, and he has actually outscored Stafford all 3 weeks in my league. But with Denver running literally 90% of their plays, it’s hard to have faith that Tebow can put up another 17 points with only 6 pass attempts and his handful of rushing plays.

Stafford is back at home, and should have a bounce back play.

Will I anger the fantasy gods if i bench Tebow?

by Ben Bauman on Nov 17, 2011 1:16 PM EST reply actions

Stafford

The Jets can rely on their secondary to defend against Tebow’s “passing,” and focus more defensive players on stopping the read-option runs. Stafford is home, in the dome, and against Carolina. The Lions don’t currently have the running game to totally dominate the Panthers on the ground the way everyone else has this season, so they will dominate them through the air.

by pooptallica on Nov 17, 2011 3:06 PM EST up reply actions

start Stafford

I think Tebow is due for a bad game and the Jets are a really tough defense to run on. The Titans passed at will on Carolina and Detroit really wants to get their mojo back. I really like Stafford this week.

by dukeallstar on Nov 17, 2011 7:13 PM EST up reply actions

Vick is very questionable to play

Even if he does play, the broken ribs clearly affected his accuracy last Sunday. Go Tebow, and go to church.

by pooptallica on Nov 17, 2011 3:07 PM EST up reply actions

I would go with Vick but they’re saying he won’t play. So, on the safe side start Tebow

Big Week....

Big week, and I have mendenhall and sproles out on byes.

QB: Rivers or Palmer?

RB: Brandon Jacobs, Lance Ball, Dexter McCluster

WR: Plaxico, Stevie Johnson, Julio Jones, Vincent Brown

TE: Ballard or Celek

I need 2 RBs and 2 WRs

Thanks in advance

by eschlim on Nov 17, 2011 4:48 PM EST reply actions

Hmmmmmmmm

Rivers. SD will have to throw, and Rivers, for as mediocre as his real-life performance has been, has still been a decent fantasy option. Oakland will run with Bush and Palmer will likely have a decent but not great game. Rivers has the higher upside, they have about an equal floor.

Jacobs and Ball. McCluster has been basically useless. Unless it’s a PPR, and McGahee starts. Then maybe Dexter over Ball.

Stevie and Brown. Plaxico is a bum. Julio Jones is unlikely to play.

Ballard. The Eagles have trouble with the TE, the Giants have not (until the last two games of course).

by pooptallica on Nov 17, 2011 5:27 PM EST up reply actions

eschlim

QB- start Palmer. The Vikings pass defense is terrible. Palmer is going to light them up. Look what he did last week against San Diego.

RB- start Jacobs and Ball. They will get many more touches than McCluster.

WR- start Burress and Steve Johnson. Burress is a great end zone target and Steve Johnson should have a very good game. I’m starting Stevie also

TE start Celek. VY has shown a reliance on the tight end in the past. And Celek seems to be coming around.

by dukeallstar on Nov 17, 2011 7:23 PM EST up reply actions

If I win, im in

In a standard scoring league I have to play 2 RB, 2 WR, and 1 RB/WR.

With Bradshaw likely out again this week I picked up D.J. Ware. My options are:
RB: C. Benson, L. Blount, D.J. Ware
WR: R. White, M. Manningham, D. Williams, A.J. Green(likely doesnt play)

Right now I’m playing Ware and Benson in the rb spots with White, Manningham, and Williams starting the other 3 spots.
Blount seems to get phased out of the gameplan entirely when TB is down on the scoreboard, and against GB this week they’ll likely be down from the opening whistle. Benson gets the Ravens who’ve been solid against the run. Any advice or lineup suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks again!

by bossofsauce on Nov 17, 2011 5:20 PM EST reply actions

You have to go Benson and Blount

They are the starters, Ware is not. Nor is he the goal-line back. Jacobs is the man in NY for now. Blount has had me beating my head against the wall for the last couple of weeks, too, but I really don’t think they will completely abandon him this week, it hasn’t worked at all so far. (full disclosure, i just traded Ryan Fitzpatrick for BJGE, and am starting him instead of Blount this week)

Go with your 3 WRs you have now, they will outscore Ware, and obvs AJ Green if he plays, instead of Damian Williams.

RB- start Benson and Blount. They are your best bets for scoring points.

QB: Rivers or Sanchez?
RB: AP (obviously), Benson, Kendall Hunter
WR: Denarius Moore, Maclin, Brandon Lloyd, Torrey Smith, Jerome Simpson, Ben obomanu

Need 2 RBs, 2 WR, and a RB/WR. Standard league. I’m hoping I can pick up Vincent Brown as a FA tonight. I think he’s still available

Benson or Hunter and who gets the flex spot?

I should obviously start AP, Moore, and Lloyd.

Rivers, Moore, Lloyd, AP, Benson and Hunter

Torrey Smith and Jerome Simpson are going against each other in what looks to be a defensive struggle. I would bet more on Benson getting a score than either of them. I think.

QB- start Sanchez. I like him better than Rivers against the Bears

RB- start AP and Hunter. I think Hunter is going to have a really nice game against the Cards.

which RB / WR to play?

12 team, non ppr, standard scoring.

mcfadden needs to come back~! until then, here are my choices at RB:
kendall hunter or OGB

also, which WRs does everyone think i should start? choose two: victor cruz, earl bennett, or david nelson.

will cruz continue getting consistent points with both manningham and nicks back at full health? jay cutler is looking surprisingly mobile and accurate so i’m willing to take a chance on bennett, even though it’s only been two weeks. also, with nelson, it feels like the fitzmagic is gone…

by James Yu on Nov 18, 2011 3:02 PM EST reply actions

James

start Hunter. They’re using him more to save Gore for down the stretch.

start Cruz and Bennett. Nelson has not practiced much this week and is not 100 percent.
I think Cruz has become an integral part of the offense and will continue to get targets.

14 Team PPR League

Last game of the season before playoffs start in my league and I am definitely already in. Sproles out on bye and I have either Nate Washington or Darrius Heyward Bey left for my flex. So question one…who to start? Nwash is probable with an illness and DHB is in the dog house but Ford is out. Question two…should I be dumping DHB at this point and looking to improve my WR situation for the playoffs? Perhaps pick up Jacoby Ford or Santana Moss for when they return? Thanks

I hope to join Claude Lemieux in Hell one day for a beer....

by HELLAWAITS on Nov 19, 2011 9:47 AM EST reply actions

start Washington

I have Louis Murphy doing even better than DHB. He’s that far into the doghouse.

I think you should drop DHB. His situation looks that dire. Going forward I have Jacoby Ford at 36 and Santana Moss at 42 in my WR rankings. While I place DHB at 60. I love DHB but it really looks like he’s getting the short end here.

Have a RB and WR conundrum

12 teams, no PPR, standard scoring.

Need 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and a flex out of:
RB – Ray Rice, Fred Jackson, DeMarco Murray, Michael Bush
WR – Hakeem Nicks, Brandon Marshall, Brandon Lloyd

At this point leaning towards Rice, Jackson, Murray, Nicks, and Lloyd, but it’s tough to sit Bush and Marshall.

Too many good players!

The Chefs are terrible. Period. I do like the Jags D against Cleveland though.

Andy Dalton won’t have AJ Green to throw to, plus the Ravens are a different team at home.

8 team league- start Jaguars defense. I really like them going against the Browns this week.

10 team league- start Ravens defense. I think the Bengals are going to be more one dimensional on offense without AJ Green.

Same question as last week

Hakeem Nicks or Laurent Robinson?

Right now, I’m leaning the opposite of last week with Nicks in my lineup currently. I know the Philly D kills WR1s, but Nicks is tough to sit, and this is a week where all of my players are going in the early game and I like to have someone going on Sunday or Monday night. However, L-Rob is probably going to see some targets with Miles Austin continuing to be out.

Thoughts?

I really like Nicks. I’m starting him in the league I have him too. I think Robinson might draw some more coverage this week and if Dallas gets out to a bigger lead, they’ll probably keep running it with Murray on the ground.

I also like to have someone playing late and the Philly D wasn’t able to shut Fitzgerald down last week, so Start Nicks

11th hour trade

In my 10 team keeper league i was offered an 11th hour trade.

I trade MJD and Maclin for Lynch and B. Marshall.

Now I have:
QB- Ryan, E. Manning, Cutler (start 1)
RB- F. Jackson, Best, MJD, R. Bush (start 1)
WR- VJax, D. Jackson, Maclin, Laurent Robinson (start 2)
TE- Witten (start 1)
Def- Eagles and Bills (start 1)
K- Bailey (start 1)
also a flex RB/WR spot.

I’m leading my division and the league, but I don’t know if this trade will help me as much as I think it will. Scoring is 2pts every 10yds rushing/receiving and 6pts all TDs. 3pt bonus for 40+yd td plays.

Thanks for ur help!
