Fantasy Hockey 2011: Saturday Starting Backup Goalies
In light of the Texas Rangers losing last night in the World Series, I hope you understand me being brief and pretty late about posting this. For that I apologize. Without further ado...
Brian Boucher, Hurricanes vs. Flyers - I would steer clear of this matchup.
Thomas Greiss, Sharks vs. Rick DiPietro, Islanders - It's the match-up of the backups! Well sorta if you're the Islanders. Anyhoo, I wouldn't trust DiPietro, who is fresh from a light concussion injury, against a stacked Sharks offense.
Brent Johnson, Penguins vs. Maple Leafs - Leafs are playing well enough to win so I wonder why they keep getting the backup treatment from the opposing team. Oh well.
Josh Harding, Wild vs. Red Wings - Harding did a good job against the Wings last time so the Wild are hoping for a repeat performance.
Tuukka Rask, Bruins vs. Canadians - He's worth a consideration as a same-day transaction pickup against a struggling Habs.
This will likely get updated as news develops so check back later on. Also, don't forget to to follow @FakeTeams and @MattPTurner on Twitter if you have any fantasy hockey questions!
