Which 6 Do I Keep?
5x5 OBP Keeper League based on previous season's average draft position (ADP). If more than one player's ADP is in the same round, they fall to the next round.
No doubters:
Hanley Ramirez (1)
Ryan Braun (1)
Matt Kemp (3)
Mike Stanton (6)
Carlos Santana (8)
More after the jump!
David Wright (2): Definitely not a value pick, and reports are coming in that Citi Field will be much smaller next year. What should I expect from him in 2012?
Michael Pineda (20): K/9 from his rookie year is elite and plays half his games in a home run suppressing field.
Brett Lawrie (20): Potentially huge value pick here. Will he be a 70/15/70/15/.340 player or a 90/25/90/20/.360 player?

quick question, what are the number of teams in the league?
- .-. ..- … – / – …. . / .—. .-. - .. . … …
12 teams
With no limit on how long you can keep players. The league is 10 years old.

Lawrie with the other 5
I may dump Ramirez for Pineda and see if he can be picked up in the 2nd rounder that opens up

Not an analysis of the player but the league rules
Wright really costs you a 4th round pick given your other keepers.
Not a 2nd.
He would be 3rd round
…and Kemp would be 4th, but we’re splitting hairs.

I wouldnt go with Wright.
Pineda or Lawrie would be the way i go, and usuallty you take the pitcher if its a tie.
Lawrie
hands down…..I think he can be a 20-20-80-.290 hitter in 2012
and i would even consider keeping Wright over Hanley-both have their injury issues

I would definitely put Lawrie, then Pineda, then Wright based on your order above. Even though Hanley’s value is dropping, SS seems pretty devoid of high-level talent, while you get a 3B in Lawrie who has the potential to be top-5 at his position relatively easy.

for me
I would definitely keep Pineda and Lawrie over Wright, given those positions. I might even keep the other over Hanley, depending on who you think would be available at SS.
SS scraps
Tulowitzki, Reyes, Castro, Cabrera, Andrus, and Rollins will most likely be kept next year. Hardy might be kept as well, given his 20th round ADP. That would leave me with Jeter, Bonifacio, Escobar, and Gordon for rosterable players in my league. Not exactly worth the drop in talent.

yeah
that’s pretty tough. you might be able to pick up Hanley with your 4th rounder, I suppose. or if you were guaranteed to scoop up Gordon in the early teens, I’d do that. But no guarantees, so you’re probably right.
