The price of adding Edinson Volquez to my rotation would cost me my top pitching prospects: Michael Pineda, Kyle Gibson, and Simon Castro. Do you think its worth it? I dunno.
Seems kinda expensive for a pitcher coming of TJ surgery and a history of control issues. Any of the above pitching prospects can actually develop into a better pitcher than Edinson, right? I am torn on this because the upside of Volquez is pretty huge based on the fact that he put up a 3.21 era and 200+ Ks in 2008. So the potential is there, but also a track record of inconsistency. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
