LHP Madison Bumgarner was called up from Triple-A Fresno and will start Saturday's nationally televised game against the Red Sox. Bumgarner was scratched from his start Friday night in Portland, fueling speculation he would be called up to start. Then Martinez warmed up in the bullpen during the Giants' 5-4 win over the Red Sox. It was becoming obvious it would be Bumgarner and not Martinez to start Saturday.
