Sounds like Pedro Alvarez is going to be called up sometime this weekend at the latest. Probably about the right timing for it at this point.

Dejan Kovacevic is reporting that Saturday appears to be the date he will be called up:
“Pedro Alvarez will not make his Pittsburgh debut until Saturday at the earliest, according to two sources, and Saturday could be the date.”
