Rank These Pitchers
Some popular underachieving waiver wire pitchers. Tell me who you think will turn it around.
And into July and August,
I like Buehrle and Jackson. I like Jackson the most because he pitches in the NL West. Gavin Floyd had a horrible start last year also, but it's hard to say a guy is a slow starter just because one year he started slow. I think Scherzer can get it together in AAA also and be a force late in the season. All of these guys are available in my 12 team league and almost all(except Buehrle) are available in 50% or more of ESPN leagues.

Jackson
Porcello
Buehrle
Floyd
Jurgens
Scherzer
I still think that Porcello is the best of the bunch, but not for this year. If in a keeper league, he is the one to have long term. Jackson’s numbers are being affected by his HR allowed – I read an article yesterday that showed all his peripheral numbers were actually better than they were at this point last year – I think he becomes the most ownable for one year leagues.
Jurrgens and Scherzer
are the guys I would target. Both should perform better than they have shown so far this season.

It may be another month or two
Until we see those guys though. When Jurrjens is getting healthy and Scherzer gets his velocity up in AAA i agree.
