Fantasy Baseball: Thursday's Roster Noise and Top Performers

Well, it was inevitable that injuries would start to occur, and having finished approximately 2% of the games to be played is probably a record for how long it took...

• Aaron Hill was scratched yesterday, due to a sore right hamstring.
• Jarrod Saltalamacchia was placed on the disabled list with a sore back. Looks like Taylor Teagarden will be getting the majority of the starts until he returns.
• I know this is a huge shock, but Chipper Jones may miss the series this weekend due to a tweaked oblique muscle. If you drafted Jones, you had to know what you were getting into at the time, so hopefully you've got other options available to you.
• Andre Ethier apparently injured his ankle on Wednesday, and was given the day off on Thursday as a result. Something to keep an eye on going into the weekend I would think.
• Jeff Niemann left his start in the 2nd inning after taking a line drive off of his right shoulder. This one could be a real problem, since he's right handed. 
• Felix Pie was out of the lineup yesterday, battling a strained rotator cuff muscle. I think he's probably back in a few days, but this may give Nolan Reimold some more playing time, which I think will be good for him regardless.
• Jose Reyes is slated to return to the lineup on Saturday. Here's hoping he stays healthy this time around.
