Dynasty Trade: Heyward for Kemp
Here's the facts
League: 16 Team Dynasty
Current OF: Matt Holliday, Justin Upton, Ichiro
Team Projection: Should be a contender until 2012 after which i have to deal with Aram, Rollins, Wieters, Gallardo and others as FA
Would you trade Heyward for Kemp, after considering the following facts. Holliday and Kemp are both FA after this year, with little to no chance of keeping both. If kemp regresses at all, i've bought him at his peak value, heyward has little shot to lower his stock considering his age. I already have a great OF, and i'm more comfortable running Holliday, Upton, Heyward/Ichiro out there for the next 3 seasons than one season of Holliday, Upton, Kemp with ichiro serving as Util and two+ seasons of Kemp, Upton, Ichiro.... (also BB are a category, so i would think heyward projects as near elite in that additional category)

Kemp/Upton
The Kemp / Upton duo would be greater than any other duo you could put together in OF in that scenario. I love Heyward but he is only 20, will be learning as he goes in the majors, and is no where near the value of Kemp over the next 2-3 years.
If you keep Heyward, the OF you have is still good – But, you should consider Ichiro’s advanced age and inevitable decline in SB which is where he get some value still… Kemp will have Holliday’s power and Ichiro’s speed (give or take). Holliday is no youngster either and over the next 3 years, I like Kemp to out perform him.
It's not about which duo will bring the most value
but which trio, as i have to start them all. I don’t know why everyone is so worried about heyward’s projection. For comparison let’s say that heyward = upton + 2 years. If heyward doesn’t hit .250 with 15 hrs i’d be surprised, as heyward has a better approach at the plate than upton at the same time.
Would anybody be surprised if Heyward hit .300 next season with 25 hrs?

Heyward
not at all….I could see him hitting .300 and 20+ HRs if he plays everyday. The comparisons to Pujols is crazy though.
