MLB Trade Rumors: Mike Lowell To The Mets??
I was just reading John Perrotto's On The Beat-Weekend Update over at Baseball Prospectus, and saw this interesting trade rumor:
The Mets also seem the most likely team to trade for Red Sox corner infielder Mike Lowell, with the idea of playing him at first base.
Should the Red Sox deal Lowell, the Mets lineup would look pretty solid once Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran return to the lineup:
Reyes
Castillo
Beltran
Bay
Wright
Lowell
Francoeur
Catcher
What is Lowell's market value at this point? He has been injury prone over the last few years and has a big contract, and nowhere to play in Boston. He was traded to the Rangers for a young catcher in the offseason.
Would a High A pitcher like Kyle Allen be enough for Lowell?

Mike Lowell
that sun has set. Allen is an up an comer. Why trade for that broke down mess when you have Ike Davis ready to roll. Hell they could hold off and wait for a spring release. Omar needs to go.
