Everyone knows that I am Dodgers fan, so much so that I once dealt a $10 Brandon Phillips for Andy Laroche in an NL-only keeper league. Yes, I am blind at times, but what I still can't figure out is why most of the prospect experts at BA and ESPN are down on Dodgers outfield prospect Jerry Sands.
I tweeted ESPN's Jason Grey the other day asking him when we can expect Sands to make it to LA, in 2011 or 2012. I also asked if he is an everyday player. Here is his tweet response:
@faketeams I don't see '11 - more like '12 and I'm leaning against.
I am not sure what is not to like about Sands after the season he had in 2010, but we will find out soon enough when the prospect rankings and scouting reports are published. Btw, I tweeted Grey back asking what is holding Sands back and if he was planning a blog post on Sands in the near future. Here is his response:
@faketeams I'll do something,not sure when; still kind of on fence but wouldn't surprise me if he made it as a regular- haven't made up mind
