Minor League Draft Decision: Who To Draft After Stephen Strasburg

I have traded emails with a couple owners in the UBA NL-only keeper league about who I should draft at the #2 spot in the Minor league draft that takes place after our auction concludes.

The prospects who are available are the following:

Fernando Martinez (possibly, if thrown back)

Starlin Castro

Dee Gordon

Derek Norris

Mike Leake

Donovan Tate

Jason Castro

Aroldis Chapman

Chris Withrow

Tyler Matzek

Christian Friedrich

Drew Storen

Brandon Allen

Chris Heisey

These two owners, as well as the rest of the league, probably know who I am leaning toward taking (me and Tommy bleed Dodger blue). But, should I throw away my Dodger Blue glasses and take someone else on this list? Chapman? Starlin Castro? FMart?

Check out who the guys at Scouting The Sally had to say in last night's chat after the jump:

NL-only, keeper league. I own the 2nd pick in the minor league draft with the following players available: chapman, starlin castro, jason castro, dee gordon, FMart (if he's thrown back), Brandon Allen, Leake, Norris, Tate, Heisey-who do you select?

Chapman hands down. A number of big prospects in that group, but Chapman is the one with the most impact potential. I love F-Mart too and think he has received a raw deal, but if you have minors limits, he's sketchy.

Wow, that's tough. Maybe Mike can help. I've heard great things about Leake, and he seems polished and ready. Chapman is longer term, but if he's there, I'd have to take him. Norris is my third, surprisngly. FMart does have his age going for him (only 20), but Norris has shown the ability to get major league hitters to miss... outside the zone. We did a piece on FG recently that showed this was an important skill.

To be clear: Chapman, Leake/Norris, FMart

lol

I am sure you do. I have made my decision. Just watch KLaw throw me a curveball with his rankings tomorrow. I am sure Chapman will be rated higher than the guy I want, but if he is anywhere close, he will get picked.
