Hey guys, I'm a fantasy football buff but I have a hard time making decisions when it comes to my teams (I swear its because I win and lose by such small margins). So one of my leagues has a very weird point system; Qb's earn the most points usually (they have the most opportunities, attempts, completions, 6 pts per td, etc.), 1 ppr for WR and RB, 1 pt per 10 yards rec or rush, etc. There are a lot of points to be earned. After the jump is the makeup for my team.
Unfortunately I'm 1-2 due to one or 2 terrible performances. The bold names are the my starters, typically.
QBs (start 1): Tom Brady, Tony Romo
WRs (start 3): Reggie Wayne, Desean Jackson, Terrell Owens, Devin Hester, Kenny Britt(my sleeper, he will be starting soon)
RBs (start 2): Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, Ray Rice, Darren McFadden
1 Flex
TE: Kellen Winslow
K: Crosby
Def: Ravens, Jets
As you can see by my RB core, they've been hit hard by injuries. I want to hang on to both QBs because I'm still not sold on Brady and Romo is a good fallback. However, I am willing to part with one of my defenses. Here is the potential trade I put forth to upgrade my RB core.
Send:
Hester, Owens, Portis, NYJ Def
Recieve:
Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Owen Daniels
The other person and I discussed this trade and it is going to go through in a day or 2 if there are no problems with it. What do you guys think? I am really happy to part with Portis because his ankles are in bad shape and that team isn't showing much life in their offense. I haven't played Hester yet and recieved him via a trade that sent antonio bryant (yeah I have no idea how that happened). Owens? Yeah, he was a terrible pick where and when I took him (had a chance with Welker).
So sorry for droning, but I'm trying to be as clear as I can. Should I rethink this trade or should I stick with my first feelings and let it go through?
