Week 2 Decisions
Okay, I got some sit/start questions for you guys. Any help is appreciated. Standard scoring except for .5 PPR, .15 points per completion, 3 bonus points for 100 yards passing or receiving or 250 yards passing, and 2 more bonus points for 150 yards rushing or receiving or 350 yards passing.
1 QB: Ben Roethlisberger (@ Bears) or Matt Schaub (@ Titans)
I made the mistake of going with Schaub last week which cost me about 20 points, but I won anyways. Yahoo projects Schaub to be about 3 points better than Ben this week but I don't see it. Ben was much better last week, Schaub is stil hurting, the Texans offense struggled, Urlacher is gone so the Bears D shouldn't be so fearsome, and the Titans D looked good against the Steelers. I have to go with Ben right?
1 RB and 1 RB/WR: Lendale White (vs. Texans), Knowshon Moreno (vs. Browns),Leon Washington (vs. Patriots), Jamaal Charles (vs. Raiders), Donald Driver (vs. Bengals), Kevin Curtis (vs. Saints), Austin Collie (@ Dolphins)
I need two players from this group and at least one must be a RB. They nearly all have good matchups. Would Lendale White and Donald Driver be the right combo? Or does Moreno breakout against a crappy defense? (He did play a lot last week) Of course, Leon Washington scored the most points out of this whole group and got 19 offensive touches so I'm not sure if I should sit him.
Thanks in advance for the help. If anyone else has any questions I'll try to give my advice.

Leon Washington
…is easy. At QB, Schaub gets to throw against the same defense Roethlisberger wracked up more than 300 yards against, and he has better skills players surrounding him.
As for the final one, LenDale gets a good match-up. In a PPR, Driver is probably the less risky choice.
I disagree,
I like Charles in the passing game kind of like that of Fred Jackson on Monday Night Football, but that’s a risky pick… LenDale is the safe pick, but I don’t think you get more than 50 yards and maybe a score.
As for QBs, Schaub is already dealing with injury issues. Also the Bears Def is much more aggressive. You guys fail to remember that the Titans rarely blitzed, using a 4 man rush most of the game. I think they step up their aggressiveness this week. The Bears DEF might be more talented, but I don’t think they are as strong without 2 of their starting linebackers. I’d go with Big Ben. He’s got the better O-line, and he has the better DEF against a weaker OFF meaning Ben will have the ball more often.

Yea Chuck Cecil will definitely get some blitzing going because he lacked it last week which cost them the game

It is easy except at QB
DRIVER AND LEON, but Big Ben would be a better choice than Shaub. The Titans got scourched by him, but I don’t expect a repeat this week. The Titans have one of the most talented secondaries in the AFC so don’t pull the plug on them quite yet. Big Ben plays against a hurting Chicago DEF and still has no running game.

So you wouldn't go with Lendale against the Texans?

No just because Lendale will probably go for 60 yds 0 rec and 1TD while the other 2 will score + rec w/60+ yds

I disagree with Schaub being the start
Roethlisberger racked up 300 v. the Titans D, but that does not mean Schaub will. Despite his weapons, he is still not a good QB. Slaton couldn’t get started against the Jets at all. I’m not sure how much was Ryan and how much was their ineffectiveness, but the Titans D is good enough to shut down Schaub with ease. I’d go big ben.
As for the others, Leon and Lenwhale would be my picks as well.
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
I'll take door #3
if those 2 are your only QBs, well, good luck with that. With a gun to my head, I guess I’d go Campbell just ‘cause the Rams might be the worst team in the league. I’ve had fantasy teams without a quality QB a few times – it’s not fun trying to decide between sucky and suckier every week.

My other choice
Matt Cassel. Trying to land a QB via trade. Would you rather deal Steve Smith or Marques Colston?
Tough one
Smith is the clear cut #1 option on team with a QB who’s hemorrhaging turnovers, while Colston has a great QB who, unfortunately for his fantasy owners, likes to spread the ball around. I love Smitty as a player, but I think I would actually trade him away first before Colston. I really think Jake Delhomme might have just totally lost it. Sometimes there’s a fine line in the NFL between “just OK” and “horrible”, and Jake’s skills may have regressed to the point where he crossed that line. Colston will always have a shot at a big day if Brees is in there, I can’t say the same about Smith if Jake continues to stink/is benched.

Schaub would be the call over Campbell
though Cassel would be a coin flip with Schaub when he’s healthy.
As for who I’d send off, I’d go with Colston, mostly due to health reasons. Send him now while the sending is good and he still has hype value.

I'd go with
Big Ben over Schaub – the Titans have some extra rest and need the W if they don’t want to fall behind the Colts by 2 games early. I know this is a new year – but here’s Matt Schaub’s line from the game at TEN last year:
17 for 37, 188 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTS
U-G-L-Y Shaub ain’t got no alibi…
then go with Leon (the Jets will have to pass and score to keep up with the Pats, not just run the ball into the back of the line with Thomas Jones) and Lendale (Texans D = not so great).

So no one thinks I should go with Moreno?
I figured he’d get 15 carries or so against the Browns and may a couple receptions, he could do some damage and pick up a touchdown.

Washington and Driver, no doubt.
This is more about not wanting to start the other guys as opposed to the one you want to start. No on LenDale; the Texans run defense looked real good for a majority of the game against the Jets, and were quick to plug the holes. Definitely no on Moreno. He needs a few more weeks, and they’re employing a multi-headed monster, if you want to call it that, with the Denver backs. Buckhalter looked better than Moreno, who still has some adjusting to do.
As for Driver, I’m going with him by default. Nothing makes me think he’s going to have an amazing game, but I think he fairs at least as well as the others if not better.
