Greinke for Teixeira

I am in desperate need for home runs. I have a few under performing/injured guys on my team in this category: David Wright, Matt Holiday and Carlos Quentin. Should I wait for these players to turn it around or should I make the offer of Greinke for Teixeira? Your advice just as in my previous posts is appreciated.

I need to type sixteen more words so my fanpost can be published; I hope there is enough words in this sentence.

depends

who are you currently starting at first? i wouldnt trade a top pitcher for a bat if it means you will have a solid player wasting away on your bench.

other than that, absolutely.

I have have Howard, Zimmerman, and Wright at corner infield

I would probably put Teixeira at utility position. However, I do not have an extra starting pitcher in waiting on the bench. I am in first or near first in all my pitching categories. I could pick up Gavin Floyd off of the waiver wire.

I decided against it,

I play in 10 team mixed and I picked up Ortiz off the wire. I hope he will help solve my power issues. This also creates a blockage, only one spot to play a DH, of where I could play Teixeira without wasting any of my talent at the corner. My pitchers are Greinke, Harang, Gallardo, Wainwright, Contreras, Baker and Scherzer. I like to keep one back up starting pitcher to play match-ups or if one of main guys goes down.

Yes

Typically, swapping Tier 1 pitchers for Tier 1 hitters is a good idea. The fact that you need offensive help makes it an even better move for you.

Dump Holliday...

This guy is stuck in the slump and he should just take his year in Oakland as a wash!
