Kershaw is extremely young and extremely talented, but his walk rate is terrible this year. Like I said, he’s young and talented and he’s striking out a batter an inning at the major league level, but it’s not like he’s blowing the doors off the league. I personally would take him RIGHT NOW over Strasburg but I don’t think it’s absurd to go the other way.
so
the fact that Strasburg hasn’t thrown a single pitch in the majors doesn;t change your mind? I remember Keith Law and other saying he will have to work on his control in the majors/minors as well.
Kershaw, if I am not mistaken, has 14 straight quality starts.

You don't have to convince me.
I’m with you, I’d take Kershaw. I’m saying that I don’t think it’s absurd to take Strasburg. His ceiling is higher. And QS is a worthless statistic.. c’monnn you know that! lol
Strasburg is only 4 months younger and hasn’t accomplished anything in the pros. Kershaw is already dominating major league hitters and is one of the best young pitchers in the game. And he’s a lefty.
While his walk rate is a bit high, that’s something that there’s more than enough time for him to improve on. Anyway, there’s no reason to suspect that Strasburg won’t have walk issues as well, as most young pitchers, regardless of how good they are, do.
