Fantasy Sports Arbitration

I am sure almost anyone reading this posting has participated in a fantasy sports league for several years.  As you all know, fantasy sports is about competition, passion, comraderie, trash-talking, intuition, pride, friendship and victory.  Many times, issues arise within your league that require some sort of decision or intervention.  When this happens, it is usually up to your league's Commissioner to settle a dispute or rule on a particular issue.  But when that Commissioner is also a member of the league, questions may arise about the integrity of the Commissioner's decision when he/she has a personal stake in the outcome.

I have personally run fantasy sports leagues for almost 15 years and have been subjected to this very scrutiny.  Whether it is justified or not, it does exist.  In an effort to resolve this, I have created a website that provides independent, expert arbitration services to resolve fantasy sports issues.  The website is www.fantasyjudgment.com which is comprised of a panel of 5 judges who will rule on a dispute and then issue a professionally written Supreme Court-like opinion as a resolution.

Feel free to check out the website and let me know what you think.  Whether it is evaluation of a trade, interpretation of a league rule, stat or scoring issue, roster or lineup submission, or any other issue that your league has, www.fantasyjudgment.com can resolve your dispute quickly, professionally, and help maintain your league's integrity.

I can see how this might be helpful in ultra-competitive high stakes leagues, but in the standard Yahoo/ESPN/CBS type leagues, the commish or league voting probably works out fine in most circumstances.

Bonds stands alone.

agreed

I’m normally the commish is two league per season and have been for five or six years. I can’t think of even one major instance that wasn’t handled with a pretty easy decision and explanation to the group.
