Just what the heck is wrong with Joey Votto? And Khalil Greene? Anxiety issues? They play baseball, right?? I don't get it.

SP, David Price, TB-Price got his first win of the season, and his first regular season win, by striking out 11 Twins in 5 2/3 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks. THIS is the David Price roto owners were waiting for.

1B, Joey Votto, CIN-Votto was placed on the 15 day DL with anxiety issues?? why? I thought he had an ear infection. With Votto on the DL, Ramon Hernandez will play 1B, and  Ryan Hannigan will get plenty of playing time at catcher.

1B, Ryan Howard, PHI-Howard went yard twice vs the Nationals, one an upper-deck bomb-a grand slam to boot. Howard will lead the majors in HRs like he does every year.

DH, Luke Scott, BAL-Scott is stealing the spotlight from catching prospect Matt Wieters call-up to the big show. Scott hit his 11th HR last night in a loss to the Tigers. In his last 7 games, he has 7 HRs and 16 RBI.

DH, David Ortiz, BOS- Ortiz had another Ofer, with 2 strikeouts. Francona has to be getting close to sitting Ortiz, and GM Theo Epstein must be speed-dialing Nat's GM Mike Rizzo on what he wants for Nick Johnson.

C, Matt Wieters, BAL- Wieters. Matt Wieters. Ever hear of this guy? Well, he got his first two major league hits last night.

OF, Jeremy Hermida, FLA- Hermida went 3 for 5 with a HR and 4 RBI on Saturday afternoon. Will Hermida EVER breakout and reach the potential so many expected of him? It could happen in a different uniform.

MR, Leo Nunez, FLA-Nunez got the save vs the Mets on Saturday, after closer Matt Lindstrom gave up a run on 2 hits and a walk. How long before Lindstrom loses his job?

SP, Jake Peavy, SD-Jake, this is Kevin Towers. Get your bags packed. You're headed up the coast a little bit. Ned has had enough with the Eric Stults/Jeff Weaver experiment. Oh, and the ankle thing, that's between you and me, right?

OF, Matt Kemp, LAD-Joe, Ned Colletti here. Kemp-why are you batting him 8th, when Ethier hasn't hit a lick since Manny was sent down to Florida? Didn't he homer on Thursday and get two hits on Saturday. Move him up, or Donnie Baseball will be finally manage a team.

SS, Stephen Drew, ARI-Drew batted 4th yet again, and struck out 4 times. What happened to this guy? I thought he was ready to join the elite 3 at SS after all the extra-base hits in 2008.

SP, CC Sabathia, NYY-Yankee fans are getting a small taste of the real Sabathia over the last few weeks. And the AL will be getting more of it for the next 4 months.I know its early, but.....Yankees-Dodgers...replay of 1981 Series??

MR, Manny Corpas, COL-Did Corpas really throw just 3 pitches in an inning of relief last night? Wow.

CL, Heath Bell, SD-Bell blew the save last night after Scott Hairston homered off Rockies closer Huston Street to give the Rockies a one-run lead.

3B, Andy LaRoche, PIT-the Dodgers may ultimately kick themselves for trading LaRoche. With the way LaRoche is hitting of late, Pirates management may decide to let Pedro Alvarez spend a little bit more time in the minors than many anticipated. LaRoche had 2 more hits yesterday and is now hitting .307. He only has 2 HRs and 22 RBI, but he has a .373 OBP to go along with the .307 AVG. The power may be the next stat to arrive.

as a big Kemp backer, I absolutely detest the way Joe Torre fills out his lineup cards. Doesn’t he realize what he has in Kemp?

Bonds stands alone.
