Bailing Season Is Open

My weekly fantasy article at The Hardball Times is up.  It deal with bailing and the view from the bottom of the standings at Memorial Day.

Ironically, I found myself in that exact position in one of my NL-Only leagues this weekend and went on a roster make-up that saw my turn over 25% of my roster in two trades.   I used my strength in SP (Johan Santana, Yovanni Gallardo and Tim Lincecum) and cheap, inexpensive players to address a rotation that had too many high risk flyers and not enough productive hitting.

Fortunately, no one in the league had bailed yet, so this is not so incompatible with my bailing article at THT, right?

FWIW, here is what I received and dealt in my version of a Memorial Day roster shake-up.

Received Dealt
SP Roy Oswalt SP Tim Lincecum
RP Rafael Soriano SP Jonathan Sanchez
RP Corey Wade SP Felipe Paulino
C Brian McCann C Ronnie Paulino
OF Austin Kearns OF Gerardo Parra
OF Brandon Moss OF Jordan Schafer
N/A SP Ross Detwiler
